Join the Black United Fund (BUFSV) for the 8th Annual MLK Day of Service Sunday, January 22, 2017 4104 44th Street at 16th Avenue 1:00pm—3:30pm Sacramento CA, 95820 Refreshments will be served

Please bring new, warm clothing for men, women, boys, and girls.

Recommended Items: caps, neck scarves, gloves socks, and warm, new blankets

These items will be packaged and distributed to the following four local homeless shelters serving individuals and families:
Center for Community Health and Well Being Wellspring Women’s Center Next Move Loaves and Fishes.

In Addition, this year, we are supporting the Period Project benefiting young girls in Liberia, West Africa. Please bring: menstrual pads, deodorant, flip-flops, girls’ underwear.

These will be packaged, sent to Liberia, and distributed to young girls so that they don’t have to miss school for lack of these personal care items.

The Black United Fund is a 501 c 3 organization. The value of your donation is tax-deductible, and your contribution will be acknowledged.

Grant Writing Workshop

The Black United Fund of Sacramento Valley is presenting a special grant writing workshop for small, grassroots nonprofit organizations on Saturday, May 17, 2014. If you have attended our regular quarterly Growing Our Own nonprofit workshop series, and are ready to take the next steps, this special workshop is for you.

When: Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 10:00am to 1:00pm
Where: Downstairs at the new Smokin’Joe’s Restaurant
